Breakfast bars

1 cup softened butter
2 cups light brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 cups flour
2 cups steel cut oats
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 sup sliced almonds
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup raisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cream butter and sugar using mixer, then beat in vanilla and eggs.  Mix flour, salt, and baking soda in separate bowl, then gradually stir into the batter mixture.  Mix in the oats; then mix in the rest of the ingredients.  Spread onto a greased cookie sheet with a spatula.  Cook for 20-23 minutes or until crisp and starting to brown slightly.  Cool and then cut into bars.
